Aunty Lucy's Profile
Aunty Lucy has 2 lovely adult daughters of her own and has had years of experience in parenting and child-care.
She personally oversees the running of her homestay, and ensures that delicious home-cooked meals are served daily, and that her home for her students is kept clean, safe and conducive.
She monitors her student's school work, and provides feedback to parents of their child's performance in school, behaviour in and out of school, and development in all areas. Not only that, she often go out of her way to ensure all the children under her care are well taken care of, be it guiding her students to take public transport, or bringing them to ICA to renew their student pass.
Parents of past and present students enjoy peace of mind leaving their child under the care of Aunty Lucy. She is not only a guardian, but is a friend and a care-giver to all children under her charge.
Her Graduates :
Our stay was great! As for the room: Everything was clean, the beds and the furniture were in good condition and the two of us got an own desk each. The space was absolutely enough. The same with the bathroom: Everything fully satisfying! Moreover we had great working air
condition and Wi-Fi. The more important part was about Lucy's family: They really made a difference for our stay! Whenever we needed help or hints for our everyday live or for our trips around Singapore, they helped us kindly. It was great fun with them! At the end we really hope to see them again, soon. We recommend a stay without any exclusions!

The two years (2006-2007) I spent living at Aunty Lucy's, as a secondary school student back then, were filled with joyful memories that will indelibly be etched on my mind for years to come. I would not hesitate to say that Aunty Lucy's homestay is the most comfortable place of residence I have ever lived in while pursuing my education in Singapore for the last five years! A clean living environment that is conducive for studying, healthy home-cooked meals and a caring guardian are just what we, as international students, yearn for upon our arrival in Singapore! I really appreciate how Aunty Lucy is always willing to go the extra miles to meet our needs and expectations. Studying in Singapore has not been a smooth journey throughout for me. It was, indeed, not easy being so young, yet having to be away from home with no family members around to talk to or ask for help. Fortunately, as I struggled to weather those challenging times, Aunty Lucy was always approachable, ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand when I needed it most. I sought comfort in her words of encouragement whenever stress from schoolwork or homesickness became too overwhelming to bear on my own. The academic success that I have attained so far would not be possible in the absence of people like Aunty Lucy and my housemates, who constantly motivated me to work hard and achieve greater heights. When making major decisions, such as which junior colleges to aim for, and just recently, when I was baffled by the choice of university courses, I trusted Aunty Lucy as one of my sources of advice and suggestions. My parents have also built rapport with her and are very satisfied with the way that Aunty Lucy has been taking care of me.
Overall, living at Aunty Lucy has been a lovely and memorable experience. I am more than happy to share it with my juniors and encourage them to trust Aunty Lucy for their accommodation and guardianship needs while studying in Singapore. I am, and will always be missing my homestay experience at Aunty Lucy's, a place that truly feels like a 'home away from home'!
